LiveWire – the largest provider of leisure facilities in Warrington – is seeking apprentices to work in its leisure operations commencing September 2015. 

Successful candidates will work as part of a team in one of LiveWire facilities, maintaining a clean and tidy environment, responding to customer needs, handling customer enquiries, and moving and setting up equipment for various activities and events.

Apprentices will also be expected to work towards gaining the RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification, and on completion will supervise users in the pool and surrounding areas to ensure safety.

The hours of work are 37 per week based on a three week shift pattern including evenings and weekends. In addition, apprentices will be expected to study in their own time to gain a BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Customer Services and Level 1 Functional Skills in Maths and English.

Applicants must be able to able to:

  • Swim 50 metres in less than 60 seconds
  • Swim 100 metres continuously on front and back in deep water.

LiveWire will pay the National Minimum Wage hourly rate appropriate for age.

LiveWire – the largest provider of leisure facilities in Warrington – is seeking an apprentice to support the delivery of sport and physical activity programmes in the Bewsey and Dallam active zone.

Working for and alongside the Sport and Activity Activator, the successful candidate will help to deliver activities and events that inspire participation, assist in the collection of participation figures, interact with community groups and develop relationships with customers.

It is a genuine opportunity with long term prospects for employment. The role will ultimately be based at a new Neighbourhood Hub on Longshaw Lane where the job holder will continue to encourage, promote and engage local residents to lead an active and healthy lifestyle.

The hours of work are 30 per week including some evenings and weekends.

The successful will be expected to study in their own time to gain a BTEC LEVEL 2 Diploma in Customer Services, Level 1 Functional Skills in Maths and English, and a Level 2 qualification in Fitness Instructing.

The rate of pay for this role is £7.65 per hour.
