Location
Birchwood Library is part of Birchwood Community High School, and opposite to the Leisure and Tennis Complex. Turn off Dewhurst Road into Benson Road, and Brock Road is the first left.
Parking
Car park at the front of the library and two disabled car parking spaces in the car park.
Access
The library is on one level and there is an accessible toilet in the library. A hearing induction loop is available.

Books can be loaned for up to three weeks
Newspapers and magazines
Adult reading group meets second Tuesday of each month, (visit the reading groups page for more details)
Rhyme-time for under 5's every Tuesday at 2pm (during term times only)
Homework club each Wednesday 3-4pm for young people in school years 7–11 (term time only)
Book club each Thursday 3-4pm for young people in school years 7-9
Junior Book Club 2nd Monday of each month for Yr 7-9 between 3.30-4.30pm
Reference collection
Free Internet access at any one of the 15 public computers
Adult and children's DVDs for loan
Adult talking books for loan - cassette and CD formats

The library first opened its doors to the public in 1985.
